Do you have any thoughts regarding eligibility rules for this new Masters "B" division ?

Some rumours floating around about the possibility of some prominent pitchers attending the 2008 OASA Masters Championship.
Please keep in mind the following eligibility rules when recruiting players.

2007 OASA Official Constitution and By -Laws
Page # 64

2:5:1 b) All Master players are eligible to play both Masters Men and Intermediate Men but are not eligible to play for a Senior Men's team
at the Ontario Championship. All pitchers on an ISC 1 roster in the current year are not eligible to pitch for a team in the Masters classification. Masters players may be "picked up" by any team for a Canadian or Eastern Canadian Championship.

For official clarification on eligibility issues please contact someone from the OASA.
OASA web site : http://www.oasa.ca

The host committee executive is in place for the 2008 OASA Masters Championship, the chairperson for the Niagara Falls Host Committee is
Rob Greatrix. A meeting was held earlier this week, details will be released when they become available.
A tentative tournament date for July 18, 19, 20 still needs to be confirmed by the OASA and the host committee.
Previous tournaments have normally been held on this weekend due to a minimum number of conflicting tournaments on the same weekend.

The Niagara Falls Host Committee are looking for sponsors for the 2008 OASA Masters Championship, we're hoping to make this year's tourney one of the best in recent years. If you are interested in sponsoring this year's tourney please contact one of the following from the Niagara Falls Host Committee Executive .........

Rob Greatrix
Chairperson
(905) 354-6654 ( Niagara Falls )

It's currently looking like 9 or 10 teams for the Masters "A" division.
I'm not sure how many teams there will be for the new Masters "B" division, I'd guess we see about 6 teams but it all depends
on what the OASA comes up with for eligibility rules.

Yours in Sport
